Serendipities

* * *

Affirmation: "I follow my bliss, my intuition, and my best guesses."

Some of the early serendipities made their way into poems: like the "rolling CD rainbow" and the "EXIT NOW!" sign. I began to notice that my questions and requests to Avidama were getting responses. (Avidama is the name I gave Love/God/Universe at at time I wanted to start fresh with Him/Her/It. I wonder how many times I'll be giving that explanation, now that it isn't a private thing anymore.)

A few months ago, I kept running into situations where I needed Scotch tape and couldn't locate any in the house. You know, the small dispenser kind with the green plaid label. This need came to the forefront of my mind one day, but I didn't actually purchase any. However, a day or two later, a green-plaid labeled small plastic dispenser of Scotch tape appeared on the street where I walk most mornings. The dispenser was scuffed up, to be sure, but the tape was perfectly usable and almost a full roll.

Now I've begun to scout for odd items as I walk and to play a game with them. I consider how each one could relate to, explain, or answer my current questions and needs. Some people do this by opening their favorite book to a random page. I do that sometimes myself. It's a good way to get an aha! or different perspective.

This blog is being revived in response to the "$500 Answer" serendipity, but that's a story for another day. Ethan and I currently are just so pleased about BAM, our red Mustang. Needing money for this transition, we mentioned to a neighbor that we might have to sell one or more vehicles. That neighbor told us the local best place to park a car for sale. And by the time I got home from situating our Mustang there, someone was calling to to claim first-in-line buyer status. Of all the calls we've gotten since, we feel most comfortable with this buyer. We just "happened" to link up at this location then; had it not been for Hurricane Ike conditions, I would have been in College Station then instead of Terrell.
